The second Embraer E18 aircraft purchased by the Brazilian Federal Police (PF) landed this Friday afternoon (03/175) in Brasília. The aircraft ed 2-RLBY flew from Lisbon to Brasília, making stops at Ilha do Sal and Recife (PE) for refueling.
Just like the first E175, delivered in December, the aircraft will undergo a nationalization process in the next few days, where it will receive the registration PS-DPF. The first plane, registration PS-CAV, is currently in São José dos Campos (SP).
With this aircraft, the Federal Police will complete a fleet of two Embraer E175 aircraft. According to information from the PF, the aircraft were acquired from the bankrupt FlyBe and will be operated by Operational Aviation Command (CAOP).
In the line of executive jets, CAOP until then operated with two Embraer ERJ-145 aircraft with the capacity to transport around 50 engers, depending on the mission.

In addition to greater modernity, the two new E175-E1s manufactured in 2012 by the Federal Police can carry up to 88 engers on board, expanding their capacity for national security missions.
As it is an aircraft that previously operated in the United Kingdom before being delivered to the PF, the E175 underwent numerous adjustments at OGMA, in Alverca, a company of the Embraer Group, in Portugal, where it received all maintenance for return to operation, updating to comply with operational requirements in Brazil, in addition to a new paint job.
“The introduction of the E175, a modern and efficient jet, will allow us to further expand the scope of our main missions, such as moving agents for operations to combat organized crime, transferring detainees, moving equipment and cargo”, said the General Director of the Federal Police, Paulo Gustavo Maiurino.
