This past Tuesday, the airline announced that it should start regional flights in the south of the country in October, in partnership with the Municipality of Canela (RS). The flights will be focused on cities in Serra Gaúcha, in order to meet a demand from companies and tourist visits.

The company will use an ATR 42-500 plane to make flights from Canela (RS), Erechim (RS), Pelotas (RS) and Navegantes (SC), connecting with capitals such as Florianópolis, Porto Alegre and São Paulo.

Total Linhas Aéreas' ATR 42-500 registration PR-TTK has 47 seats in a single class inside, being ideal for cities with less demand.

Until then, Total was known only for cargo flights, however the company used the ATR to make charter flights. The company currently operates cargo flights with three Boeing 727 aircraft, being the last company to put these aircraft into operation on an almost daily basis in Brazil.
