Turkish Airlines has announced a new order for 10 additional A350-900 aircraft, bringing the total for the type to 40. This latest deal builds on the order announced in August for four A350s. -900. Turkish Airlines already operates a fleet of 14 A350-900s.
Christian Scherer, Commercial Director of Airbus and Director of Airbus International, said: "We are delighted that Turkish Airlines has decided to further expand its fleet with the purchase of 10 more A350-900l aircraft."
By the end of July, the A350 had won more than 1.000 orders from major airlines around the world. The A350 is the most modern widebody aircraft in the 300 to 410 seat category. Its clean design includes state-of-the-art technologies, aerodynamics, lightweight materials and new engines that together offer 25% advantage in fuel consumption, operating costs and CO2 emissions , as well as a 50% reduction in noise footprint compared to the previous generation.
