The US Department of Defense has approved the sale of eight Bekk-Boeing MV-22 Block C Osprey aircraft to Indonesia, in addition to the aircraft, other equipment is included, totaling $2 billion.
The sale of the aircraft is being coordinated by the US Military Military Sales (FMS) program, which notified the US Congress yesterday (6) about the sale of the MV-22 Block C.

The Indonesian government acquired some equipment, which are 24 AE 1107C Rolls Royce turbine engines; 20 AN / AAQ-27 prospective infrared radars; 20 AN/AAR-47 missile warning systems; 20 AN/APR-39 radar warning receivers; 20 AN / ALE-47 countermeasure dispensing systems; 20 Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) Systems AN / APX-117 (IFF); 20 AN / APN-194 Radar Altimeters; twenty (20) VHF AN/ARN-147 omnidirectional instrument landing system beacon navigation systems (VOR) AN/ARN-147; 40 ARC-210 629F-23 multi-band radios (non-COMSEC); 20 miniature AN/ASN-163 global positioning system (GPS) receivers (MAGR); 20 AN/ARN-153 Tactical Air Navigation Systems; twenty (20) Traffic Collision Avoidance Systems (TCAS II); 20 M-240-D 7,64 mm machine guns; 20 GAU-21 machine guns; t Mission Planning Systems (JMPS)
The sale of the aforementioned aircraft and various equipment helps US foreign policy goals and creates US stability in the region.
The Bell-Boeing V-22 Osprey is a tiltrotor aircraft with vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) capability. The aircraft has cargo and troop transport capabilities.

There is also the MV-22 version (which will be destined for Indonesia). In the US this version is used by the US Marine Corps (USMC).
