A United States Navy, in partnership with Lockheed Martin, it carried out a historic test with the AGM-158C LRASM (Long Rang Anti-Ship Missile), its new anti-ship missile. During the test, designated the 12th Integrated Test Event (ITE-12), four missiles were fired simultaneously.
In a note released on Wednesday (03), Lockheed reports that the Navy demonstrated the cutting-edge lethality of the new weapon, from mission planning to the integration of the destruction chain and its effects on the target. The four missiles worked perfectly, achieving their designated objectives, reinforcing the already high confidence in the missile's capabilities and its superior firepower.

“We continue to invest in the design and development of LRASM anti-surface warfare capabilities to ensure warfighters have 21st century security solutions to complete their missions.”, said Lisbeth Vogelpohl, director of Lockheed Martin's LRASM program. “This event was a testament to our commitment to providing reliable products that work every time, ensuring those we serve are always ready.”
ITE-12 is a fundamental milestone in the evolution of the LRASM system. The test serves as a validation of the latest missile configuration and paves the way for further development and integration of even more advanced capabilities in the future.
LRASM is based on family of AGM-158 cruise missiles, but specifically in the version JASSM-ER (t Air-to-Surface Standoff Missiles with Extended Range). The missile has low-observability characteristics (stealth) and offers long range attack capabilityrange, survivability against advanced defenses and high lethality against heavily defended surface targets.
