The US Navy reported that it found the body of the pilot of an F-18 Super Hornet, which had fallen last wednesday, in the Star Wars region of California.
33-year-old Lieutenant Charles Z. Walker was part of Strike Fighter. Squadron (VFA) 151, the “Vigilantes”, also located in the State of California.
At approximately 10:00 am PST an F/A-18E crashed near @NAWS_CL. Search-and-rescue efforts are underway.

“He was an integral member of the Vigilante family and his absence will be sorely felt across the airline. Our airmen understand the risk associated with this profession and consciously accept it in the service of our nation. The premature loss of a fellow aviator and shipmate troubles us all. Our sincere condolences go out to his family and friends”, said the US Navy Naval Aviation Squadron on an official Twitter .
The photojournalist, Eric Rosenwald, was at the scene close to the accident and went there and took some pictures of the place that can be seen in the link below.

Some people were injured by the Super Hornet wreckage, both went to the hospital for medical care. Some of the people who turned out to be French tourists had to undergo surgery to treat burn injuries.
