American Airlines subsidiary, Envoy Air announced a new order for another 19 aircraft from Embraer's E-jet family.
The agreement provides for eight units of Embraer E175 and 11 E170, as per reported by Portal Aviation Week. Deliveries are only scheduled for the end of 2024.
Prior to the newest order, Envoy Air had already announced another deal in 2023 for 17 E175s and five E170s, making the airline one of the largest operators of the E-jet family in the United States with a fleet of 126 E175s and 43 E170s. EXNUMX.
The addition of more Embraer aircraft is in line with the company's plans to modernize its fleet, increasing the efficiency of the company, which currently has around 800 daily flights with American Eagle.
The Embraer E175 entered service in North America in 2005 and has since come to dominate the industry. Customers like Embraer's trademark two-by-two seating, which means no one has to endure the middle seat. To date, the worldwide E170/E175 fleet has accumulated more than 19,5 million flight hours, with Envoy having flown 1,3 million of those hours.
