Video: the best moments of the 2022 Fighter Aviation Meeting

RAC Fighter FAB Santa Cruz

Between April 18th and 22nd, the 2022 Fighter Aviation Meeting (RAC 2022) took place at Santa Cruz Air Base, RJ. The event, held annually by the Brazilian Air Force (FAB), brought together more than 50 combat aircraft in the BASC yard, a very rare sight.

In all, ten Fighter Aviation units were present with F-5EM/FM Tiger II fighters and attack aircraft, AMX A-1M and A-29 Super Tucano. The squadrons Jambock, Pif-Paf, Poker, Centauro, Jaguar, Pampa, Flecha, Joker, Grifo and Escorpião participated.

Interview with Gripen pilot

On the 22nd of April, when the Fighter Aviation Day (in memory of the actions of the military of the 1st Fighter Group in Italy), the FAB officially incorporated the newest Gripen fighters that arrived in Brazil at the beginning of the month. 

One of the FAB pilots who flew the F-39 in the country, Major-Aviator Abdon, gave an interview to the journalists present. Check out the video!
