The included the participation of ABEAR's Flight Safety and Operations Director, Ruy Amparo; the CEO of Latam Brazil, Jerome Cadier; and Colonel Aviator Mauro Carrinho de Moura, from the Air Space Control Department (DECEA); mediated by the vice-president of Modern Logistics and member of the Advisory Board of the National Association of Authorized Railways (ANFA), Adalberto Febeliano.

Amparo mentions some post-pandemic victories and necessary improvements for the coming years.

“Crisis management was carried out by all agents in the airline system, because while solving immediate problems, they knew how to look to the future. In recent years we have managed to establish positions and evolve, we have carried out in-depth studies with airlines for improvements and we have had good results in public consultations with the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC). But we need planning, thinking about investments in infrastructure, creating public policies that bring investors to the production of sustainable fuel (SAF) in the national territory, less restrictive legislation and equivalent to international markets, and focus on adequacy continuation of the regulatory framework, in addition to a plan to supply labor to the sector”, he warns.

Cadier also pointed out challenges, but brought a positive look to the future of aviation.

“This type of debate makes us look ahead, we need to align our national rules with international ones and encourage the competitiveness of Brazilian companies. Despite the challenges with the price of aviation kerosene (QAV), which directly influences ticket prices, we have plans to offset 50% of the carbon emitted by 2030, to be carbon neutral by 2050 and to buy 5% of the SAF for our routes . We are always looking for efficiency in our operations and we see a lot of progress ahead”, adds the CEO of LATAM Brasil, ABEAR member.
