Igor was 51 years old, was from the ACRO squadron and had experience in aerobatics, even though aviation was his hobby and not his main profession. He had entered aviation at the age of 16, and since 2021 he has taken aerobatics classes to increase flight safety.

The festival was organized by astronaut and senator Marcos Pontes and was one of the biggest in the country.
