Boarding bridge Aena Brasil Recife João Pessoa airports

With investments exceeding R$27,5 million, Aena is implementing eight new fingers at the airports it manages in the Northeast. Four are already in operation, two in João Pessoa and two in Aracaju, airports that previously did not have this equipment. Another four are being installed at Recife International Airport, and should be fully operational by the end of the year. Fingers are mobile bridges that attach to aircraft for boarding and disembarking engers, offering more comfort, agility and safety.

The four bridges at Recife Airport are being installed in the terminal's expansion area, where work on the new international enger boarding area is being completed, with much larger and more comfortable rooms. The expansion of the apron will allow the parking of up to four large aircraft simultaneously, with the possibility of attracting more international operations to the capital of Pernambuco. The investments already have results expected for the next summer season. Starting in March, TAP will increase the frequency of weekly flights to Recife from seven to ten, expanding connections with Europe. The airport has four more routes to other countries: Fort Lauderdale and Orlando (USA), Montevideo (Uruguay) and Buenos Aires (Argentina).

In Recife, in addition to the addition of new fingers, all 11 existing equipment undergo a complete process of modernization and revitalization, using high quality materials. Thus, upon completion of the works, the Pernambuco terminal will have a total of 15 boarding bridges, new or completely renovated, significantly improving the comfort and experience of customers traveling through the busiest airport not only in the Northeast, but in all capitals. Brazilian regions, excluding the Southeast region and Brasília.

All eight boarding bridges came from China and are manufactured by Tianda, one of the main companies in the segment. The improvements are part of the structural works carried out by Aena Brasil to modernize the six airports managed in the Northeast, making them more comfortable, safe, technological and sustainable, thus improving customers' travel experiences.
