The Abra Group (Avianca and GOL) announces the g of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Aerolíneas Argentinas with the aim of strengthening collaboration and exploring opportunities between the two organizations, specifically in the commercial, operational and technological areas.
The airlines associated with Grupo Abra and Aerolíneas Argentinas maintain their total independence, autonomy, brands, talents and culture. Likewise, the signed agreement does not include any change in the shareholding structures of the group of companies mentioned.
If necessary, airlines will request and obtain any government authorization to implement this alliance.
“The partnership with ABRA and the possibility of working on t planning and strategy, which allows us to create better networks, more connectivity and, ultimately, a better product, is fundamental for Aerolíneas Argentinas, as well as for Gol and Avianca. I am sure that this agreement will further boost the growth of the airline market across the region,” said Fabián Lombardo, commercial director of Aerolíneas Argentinas.
“As part of Grupo Abra’s growth in the region, we are announcing a collaboration agreement with Aerolíneas Argentinas, Argentina’s main airline, which will allow us to further strengthen our presence in the Southern Cone and seek new opportunities in different areas, to contribute to Abra’s purpose: to make more people in Latin America fly with better fares, more destinations, frequencies and convenient connections”, said Constantino de Oliveira Junior, CEO of Grupo Abra.
