The installation operation of the fighter took place last Tuesday (4th) and involved of the Brazilian Navy and the Military Police.

The choice of location is fair, as the city of São Pedro da Aldeia is the location of the Brazilian Navy's air and naval base, and the home of the VF-1 Squadron that operates the AF-1s.

According to the Fonte Certa website, the inauguration of the monument should take place on August 23.

“Naval aviation came here in 1961, it will be 60 years old in 2021 and we are very proud to be the only naval air base in Brazil. The fighter is our highest-performing aircraft, which symbolizes this connection that naval aviation, with great pride, has with the city and vice versa. So it will be a tourist spot, without a doubt, the city will become increasingly known as the home of naval aviation, the only one in Brazil”,said Rear iral Rohwer, commander of the São Pedro da Aldeia Air and Naval force.
