After leaving LATAM, Delta will have daily flights between Rio de Janeiro and New York

After LATAM Brasil canceled flights from Rio de Janeiro (Galeão) to New York (JFK), Delta Airlines announced that it will start operating on this route from December 21 of this year, with the company's Boeing 767-300.

Flight DL478 departs from Galeão Airport and is destined for John F. Kennedy Airport, in New York, with departure at 22:15 (local time). In the opposite direction, flight 479 on the Galeão – NY route, the flight takes off at 21:24 (local time).

The flight also has a codeshare with Gol Linhas Aéreas, to more than 23 destinations in Brazil, so it will be possible for a enger to easily connect at Galeão Airport with just one ticket.

That flight still needs to go through approval from the United States government.
