At the end of last week, PSA Airlines temporarily took most of its aircraft out of service to complete a necessary inspection of the landing gear door to prevent any aircraft from landing without landing gear.

“PSA Airlines has resumed regular operations following the temporary withdrawal of its aircraft from service”, said American Airlines. "All aircraft inspections have been completed and all aircraft are ready for operation."

PSA took a total of 24 hours to complete the inspection of 129 aircraft in its fleet, a milestone for the aeronautical sector. Previously, a greater impact on the company's fleet was expected, with many cancellations and flight delays, something that did not occur with much intensity.

At the time, an FAA airworthiness directive required checks on three of the aircraft's nuts and bolts on the front landing gear doors "that need to be retightened."

PSA owns around 129 CRJ series aircraft, including 60 CRJ700s and 69 CRJ900s.
