Azul announced that it is returning to promote pilots from the position of co-pilot to commander. With demand on the rise, the company has once again moved its staff of pilots, in addition to promoting flight attendants for pilots.
Four company co-pilots were promoted to Commander in the last week.
The celebration to make the promotion official took place at Azul's headquarters in Alphaville, and was attended by some family of the Crew to honor this special moment. Those promoted received Berimbelas for Commanders, in addition to new identification badges.
This is the company's first pilot promotion since 2019 and Azul is the only airline in the country to accomplish this feat even amid the pandemic.
