Just landed at Viracopos International Airport in Campinas, the newest Airbus A350 from Azul Linhas Aéreas. The aircraft arrived from Confins, arriving at 13:57 being commanded by Airbus pilots.

This is a new milestone in the history of Azul, which will now have the Airbus A350 as its largest aircraft in operation. Received by employees and guests at the maintenance hangar in Campinas, the new plane was received with a traditional baptism.

The new plane should be put into operation by Azul shortly, initially making domestic flights to Recife and Manaus for training its crew. The nationalization process began in Confins and will be completed in Campinas.

After the period of training flights, the airline will put it into operation on international routes, with Miami and Orlando being the first destinations with the A350.

With the future license plate PR-AOY and the given name of '50 is also Blue', the company should receive another A350 by the end of the year. In all, there will be four aircraft that will operate under the registrations PR-AOW, PR-AOX, PR-AOY and PR-AOZ.

The Airbus A350 is configured with an interior for 334 engers, with 33 seats in Business Class and 301 in Economy. Business Class will have a 1x2x1 division and Economy will have a 3x3x3 division.

The company's new A330-900neo is configured with 298 seats, 34 of them in Business Class, about 36 seats less compared to the A350-900.

With capacity for 334 customers, the structure of the A350 has more than 70% of its composition of the latest generation items, such as composites, titanium and modern aluminum alloys to create a lighter and more economical aircraft, which increases its technical-efficiency. operational. 

According to the president of Blue, John Rodgerson, the A350 is part of the company's fleet renewal plan and will replace the A330ceo aircraft.

The aircraft is equipped with two Trent XWB turbofan engines, which guarantee 20% less fuel consumption per seat, resulting in much lower CO2 emissions per seat compared to the A330ceo, reinforcing the commitment of the BLUE with sustainability and achieving carbon neutrality by 2045. 

With the arrival of the Airbus A350-900, Azul is the second Brazilian company to have the jet in its fleet, however, LATAM Brazil recently said goodbye to the model to concentrate its long-range international operations only with Boeing aircraft.
