Today (14) Airbus launched the new A330neo, after extensive pressure from airlines for a new aircraft in the range of seats of the A330 to be presented. The new A330 itself is 14% more economical than the old version, this is thanks to a new wing, the new engines manufactured by Rolls Royce (model Trent 7000), A350/787 style Winglets, and also to a new generation of Fly by Wire (which people usually call Full Fly By Wire). The new winglets add 3m more wingspan, but still remain within category E at airports, which will not hinder their use at airports that already operate the A330 classic and does not ask for requests like those found on the wing of the new 777, which are the folding ends. Two models are planned, the A2-330NEO which, according to what Airbus announced, has capacity for 800 engers in a configuration with 252 seats in economy and 216 in business class, capable of flying up to 36nm, approximately 8200km according to standards of the company, while the A15200-330 has 900 seats (310C + 36Y) and a range of 274nm (7000km), values close to what Boeing discloses for the 13000. a330_NEO_BC_Cabin_14-14-07_CR a330_NEO_EC_Cabin_14-14-07_CR The interior has been completely refurbished, all in LED, in line with other trends in the same market, and also incorporates a Wi-Fi connection with an internet network. In the training part, Airbus guarantees that 95% commonality in the entire aircraft system compared to the current model, facilitating the training and transfer of crew from one aircraft to another. A330-900neo_RR_AIB_02 The first delivery of the aircraft is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2017, therefore, Airbus will have 42 months for the construction, testing and certification of the aircraft, however it was not announced which company will make the first commercial flight, but the aircraft already had orders at its launch, there are 25 A330-900s ordered by Air Lease.
