AKAER and Dassault Systèmes sign MoU to strengthen cooperation in defense projects

AKAER and Dassault Systèmes announced the g of a memorandum of understanding to unite the experience of both companies in the aerospace and defense industry, in order to promote innovation and technological development in strategic defense projects in Latin America.

The announcement was made at a ceremony during LAAD, the most important Defense and Security Fair in Latin America, where Cesar Silva, President & CEO of AKAER, and Alejandro Chocolat, Director General for Latin America at Dassault Systèmes.

“The partnership with Dassault Systèmes has existed for more than 30 years, since our foundation. This partnership marks a new phase in our history and will be very important to consolidate the role and contribution that AKAER has been making in the defense industry with excellence in engineering and innovation”, said Cesar Silva.

The MoU will prioritize strategic defense projects, promote innovation in products, processes and technologies; and drive digital transformation across the ecosystem. AKAER looks forward to bolstering its digital transformation journey through the expansion and modernization of its assets as well as expanding the implementation of model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and virtual twin technologies to enhance integration and accelerate the development process of new products.

“Advanced technologies are being incorporated into new defense systems to increase their effectiveness and versatility. Multiple defense capabilities need to be constantly combined in a “systems of systems” approach to more complex missions. This is the type of technological advancement that we want to bring about in collaboration with AKAER”, highlights Alejandro Chocolat.

Under the MoU, AKAER and Dassault Systèmes also plan to strengthen their relationship with Universities and Research Institutes, important partners in the innovation ecosystem to promote sustainable innovation, as well as the adoption of the latest cutting-edge technologies in institutions in Brazil.
