Amaro Aviation focuses on aircraft management

The aircraft management sector has been gaining momentum in Brazil, driven by the growth of executive aviation, the sophistication of services provided and the search by companies and owners for solutions that guarantee efficiency, safety and operational savings. This is a strategic segment that takes care of all istrative, operational and technical aspects of an aircraft, allowing the owner to focus solely on the destinations, while specialists handle the behind-the-scenes operations of the flights.

This management can include everything from maintenance scheduling, crew selection and training to route planning, cost control, legal documentation and regulatory compliance with ANAC (National Civil Aviation Agency), FAA or Easa (aviation agencies in the United States and Europe, respectively).

According to industry data, the costs of operating a light jet in Brazil range from R$5 to R$12 per flight hour, and can reach R$30 in the case of long-range jets. The annual cost of maintenance and complete management can exceed R$10 million, depending on the complexity and the aircraft's operating regime.

“For owners who own an aircraft but do not use it regularly, management is recommended, as we take care of all the bureaucratic aspects. They can also choose to share the managed aircraft or make it available for charter, meaning they can make a financial return on their asset,” explains Marcos Amaro, CEO of Amaro Aviation, a company dedicated to sharing and managing aircraft, and air taxi services.

Among the aircraft in its fleet, Amaro Aviation manages an Embraer Phenom 300 jet, a Bell 429 helicopter, and a Cessna Citation XLS jet – the Phenom 300 being for the exclusive use of its owners, and the Bell 429 and Citation XLS being available for charter, both in hourly packages and air taxi.

Amaro Aviation offers two management options. Operational Management allows you to perform all the istration and management of the aircraft, in addition to reducing your fixed costs by including the aircraft in your charter and air taxi operations, when the aircraft is not being used by its owners. istrative Management allows you to perform all the istration and management of the aircraft, however, the aircraft will be for the exclusive use of its owners, not being used in the company's charter and air taxi operations. Aircraft that enter Operational Management can integrate other Amaro Aviation services, including shared solutions, such as fractional ownership programs; Flight (a package of advance hours), aimed at frequent s who do not wish to assume full ownership of an aircraft; and air taxi, for s who prefer occasional trips.

There are 6.035 piston aircraft (57%), 2.074 turboprop aircraft (20%), 1.300 turbine helicopters (12%), 980 jets (9%) and 244 piston helicopters (2%). The data is from Anac and was compiled by Abag (Brazilian General Aviation Association).

The country has the second largest general aviation fleet in the world, behind only the United States. In addition to the operational appeal, aircraft management is also being driven by the digitalization of processes, greater concern for sustainability (with emphasis on the use of SAF fuels and carbon offset programs) and the advancement of in-flight connectivity.

In a scenario of GDP growth and the internalization of business hubs in Brazil, the trend is for executive aviation – and the management services that it – to continue gaining ground as strategic instruments for mobility and time optimization in the corporate environment.
