Amaro Aviation makes its debut in the rotary wing segment official by g an exclusive acquisition contract with Gualter Helicópteros for the introduction in Brazil of the Swiss AW09 helicopter, manufactured by Leonardo. The partnership agreement, signed in December, positions Amaro Aviation as the launch customer for the new model in the country.
The new aircraft will be operated by Amaro Aviation and can be chartered normally. Customers can also choose to purchase a time card to use the helicopter. The idea is to grow the fleet with other units, made available for sharing as well.
The CEO of Amaro Aviation, Marcos Amaro, was enthusiastic about the new business opportunity to serve air taxi customers. “The AW09 aircraft project is a very innovative project. It is a single-engine helicopter with a lot of power, but, at the same time, it is a product that will revolutionize the market, as it contains four-axis autopilot technology, capacity for up to 8 engers, and a very spacious luggage compartment. Furthermore, it is a helicopter with a very reasonable operating cost”, said the executive.
The AW09 helicopter is a high-performance and cost-effective multi-mission helicopter for private, commercial and public organizations. The helicopter offers the cabin size and mission capability of a twin-engine model at the price of a single-engine. The exceptional design guarantees the execution of a versatile mission. With capacity for up to 8 engers, the Swiss helicopter has systems redundancy, speed performance of 140 knots (260 km/h) with a range of 800 km, and an external load of 1,5 tons. Furthermore, it is coupled with the lowest level of vibrations and noise, with state-of-the-art technology.
