This Thursday (12/12) Amaszonas Uruguay received the first Embraer E190 in its fleet, aircraft ed CX-IVO and manufactured in 2011.
This is the first aircraft for the renewal of the company's fleet, which has been operating with smaller capacity Bombardier CRJ-200 aircraft for several years. In total, the branch in Uruguay should receive two aircraft.
The new Embraer aircraft have a capacity of 110 seats configured in a single class, allowing them to operate to higher demand destinations with higher revenue.
Amaszonas is adding a total of six E190s to its fleet, including the Paraguay and Bolivia branch. The planes will fly to several domestic and international destinations.
Amaszonas planes should operate flights from Montevideo to Brazil, such as São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, high demand destinations.
The company currently operates flights between Montevideo and Buenos Aires, in addition to the route from Montevideo to Asunción (Paraguay) and Santa Cruz de la Sierra (Bolivia), the two Amaszonas bases in other countries.
Embraer and Amaszonas also signed a Service Pool Program agreement through 2024 with the aim of providing repairable component for the fleet of up to six E190s.
