The National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) approved, this Tuesday (23/2), the revision of the Brazilian Civil Aviation Regulation (RBAC) nº 145, which deals with aircraft maintenance. The standard update is yet another delivery of the Simple Flight, a federal government program aimed at reducing bureaucracy and modernizing the airline industry. The approved amendment simplified procedures and eliminated bureaucratic redundancies.
Among the amendments inserted in the new RBAC nº 145 are the simplification of documentary requirements and the end of the collection of requirements that go beyond the normative competence of ANAC. The amendment eliminated, for example, the requirement for documents unrelated to regulation, such as the company's articles of incorporation, for example.
Occupational safety requirements are also no longer included in the standard, as this type of control is carried out by a body with specific attributions on the subject. The amendment to the regulation that regulates the maintenance of aircraft also aligned regulation concepts and adjusted outdated dates that were included in the regulation.
The review of RBAC No. 145 was part of Theme 14 of the Agency's 2019-2020 Regulatory Agenda. The amendment proposal was submitted to public consultation between July 10 and August 27, 2020.
