The National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) approved today, February 7, during the Deliberative Meeting of the Collegiate Board of Directors, the invitation to bid for the Natal International Airport – Governador Aluízio Alves (ASGA), in São Gonçalo do Amarante (RN).
The approval of the rebidding notice by ANAC is unprecedented, as it is the first approved, demonstrating that the rebidding instrument is viable and will contribute to the country's infrastructure to continue developing. There are another 10 re-bidding processes in progress at the Federal Government: 7 for highways, 1 for railways and 2 more for airports.

Expected to be published in the Official Gazette tomorrow, February 8, the notice sets the auction date for May 19, 2023.
After the public notice is published, the clarification request phase begins, from February 09th to March 10th. The receipt of proposals by interested parties will be on May 16.
The winner of the auction must fulfill the previous obligations and then proceed to sign the contract. From the signature, the grant payments are made and finally the contractual effectiveness will start.
ANAC will define, until the signature of the contract, the compensation and the payment process. The calculation of the indemnity will be made public as soon as it is accredited by the independent audit firm in charge.
Located in the municipality of São Gonçalo do Amarante, the airport is 18 kilometers from the Port of Natal, capital of Rio Grande do Norte, and 30 kilometers from the city center, in addition to being close to roads that connect to other capitals in the Northeast , such as João Pessoa (PB) and Recife (PE). With the capacity to receive six million engers per year, the airport was the first in Brazil to be granted to the private sector, at the beginning of the last decade, when the rounds of airport concessions in Brazil began.
