ANAC certifies the Boeing 737-800 converted into a freighter by AEI operating in Brazil

A National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) approved this week the operation in Brazil of the Boeing 737-800 converted into a freighter by Aeronautical Engineers (AEI).

Baptized Boeing 737-800SF, Aeronautical Engineers obtains the approval of operation of the converted model in one more country, following USA, Canada, China and some European countries and now Brazil with ANAC certification.

AEI is the only company specializing in the conversion of enger aircraft to freighters capable of implementing ETOPS 180 on the converted 737-800.

With the ETOPS 180 certification, it means that the plane will be able to fly another 180 minutes after the alternative Airport shown in the flight plan.

AEI converted the Boeing 737-800 to a freighter by adding a cargo door in its main compartment, which allows it to transport 12 pallets, totaling 23,9 tons of payload.
