A National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) published this Wednesday, November 16, 2022, the Supplementary Instruction No. 110-002 (click on the link to access), which establishes rules for the in-service training of the AVSEC professional, that is, the professional who treats security against acts of unlawful interference.
The new supplementary instruction stipulates procedures that meet the requirements set out in Brazilian Civil Aviation Regulation No. 110, amendment 1 (click on the link to access), which deal with training for AVSEC Instructors and Civil Aviation Protection Agents (APAC), after a leave of absence of more than 365 and 180 days, respectively.
With these guidelines, ANAC seeks to add greater quality to the training that involves both initial training, updating and return to service after a period of absence from the AVSEC professional.
It also intends to ensure greater reliability in the development and maintenance of the skills necessary for the performance of these professionals' attributions, bringing security and standardization to organizations with AVSEC responsibility and instruction centers.
