ANAC will present proposals for the modernization of Agricultural Aviation

The National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) will hold, on July 6, at 14 pm, a participatory virtual meeting to discuss with society a new regulatory model for agricultural aviation.

The objective is to present the results of the proposals for the modernization of the Brazilian Civil Aviation Regulation (RBAC) nº 137, theme of the ANAC Regulatory Agenda and of the Simple Flight, a program created to simplify procedures and reduce bureaucracy in Brazilian civil aviation.

The virtual participatory meeting will be transmitted by official channel of ANAC on YouTube. The event will address topics such as the new certification process for commercial agricultural air operators, the new philosophy of operational safety applied to agricultural and firefighting operations, and the new approach to overseeing operations. The session will also have a moment for clarifying doubts and receiving suggestions.

Those interested in asking questions live will be able to to participate in the event, according to information that will be released at the beginning of the transmission. Sindag Agricultural Aviation Update needed

The original version of RBAC No. 137 dates from May 2012. Since then, the text of the regulation has undergone four updating processes. However, technological advances and innovations that emerged in the agricultural aviation market contributed to the need for a new regulatory modernization. RBAC nº 137 covers requirements such as certification of agricultural aviation companies, limitations for non-commercial operators, rules for aircraft and equipment, safety management, landing areas and atmospheric conditions, among others.
