GOL announced the increase in the number of flights to Porto Alegre, whose operations have been taking place since June 1st at the Canoas – ParkShopping (QNS) air base, in the Metropolitan Region of the capital of Rio Grande do Sul. From July 15th, the current 9 direct weekly flights between Canoas and São Paulo will increase to 13 weekly flights – on that date, 4 new additional round trip operations will be made available weekly to São Paulo's central airport, Congonhas (CGH) . Currently, the Company's supply is concentrated at Guarulhos international airport (GRU).
The city of Caxias do Sul (CXJ), in Serra Gaúcha, will also be offered more GOL flights from August 2024. Today the Company operates 1 daily and direct flight between Caxias and Congonhas airport (CGH). On the 5th of August, the second daily operation will begin and, on the 12th of the same month, another flight, totaling up to 3 departures per day between the interior of Rio Grande do Sul and the capital of São Paulo.
Finally, in Pelotas (PET), an important hub in the south of Rio Grande do Sul, the Company expands its current offer from 3 to 4 weekly flights in June. From August until the end of October, flights in the city will be operated 6 days a week, from Sunday to Friday. Operations are to Guarulhos international airport (GRU).
GOL remains sensitive to the need of the population of the capital of Rio Grande do Sul, as well as the entire state of Rio Grande do Sul, to have connectivity gradually reestablished at this time of recovery in the State.
Canoas in new connection with Congonhas
From July 15th, the new flights between Canoas – ParkShopping and Congonhas will complement the current offer of departures to Guarulhos, which will be maintained. On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, flight G3 9186 will leave São Paulo's central airport at 15:50 pm, landing in the metropolitan region of Porto Alegre at 17:35 pm. On the same days of the week, the return will take place at 19:05 pm (flight G3 9187), departing from Canoas, landing in Congonhas at 20:45 pm. [See table below].
All customer service in Canoas has as its focal point ParkShopping Canoas (Av. Farroupilha, 4.545, Marechal Rondon, Canoas). The check-in, baggage check-in, boarding and disembarking processes are carried out only at ParkShopping Canoas, and not at the Canoas military air base, located in an area neighboring the commercial establishment.
Caxias do Sul: 3 daily flights in August
GOL currently operates 1 daily round trip flight, from Monday to Sunday, between Caxias do Sul and Congonhas airport. Departure from São Paulo is at 10:40 am, and landing in Serra Gaúcha at 12:10 pm. The return from Caxias takes place at 12:50 pm, landing in Congonhas at 14:25 pm.
From August 5th, 1 new one will be added to the mesh. The G3 9056 will depart from Congonhas at 12:00 pm and arrive in Caxias do Sul at 13:30 pm, from Monday to Saturday and on Sundays. The return will be at 14:10 pm (flight G3 9057), landing in São Paulo at 15:45 pm, on the same days of the week. On August 12th, another daily flight will begin (Monday to Sunday): the G1 3 will take off from Congonhas at 9030:17 pm, landing in Caxias at 55:19 pm; The return flight (G25 3) will leave Serra Gaúcha at 9031:6 am and arrive in São Paulo at 30:8 am.
GOL's operations at the Canoas – ParkShopping air base, in Caxias do Sul and Pelotas are carried out using modern Boeing 737 aircraft, with capacity for up to 186 engers.
Tickets between São Paulo – Guarulhos (GRU) and Congonhas (CGH) – and Canoas – ParkShopping (QNS), between Congonhas and Caxias do Sul (CXJ) and between Guarulhos and Pelotas (PET) are now available on website and GOL app, at GOL stores at airports, via the Smiles website and app, by calling the Relationship Center (0300 115 2121) and at travel agencies.
