Arajet inaugurates its operations at Punta Cana Airport

Arajet, the Dominican low-cost airline, officially inaugurated its operations from Punta Cana Airport (PUJ) in a formal ceremony led by executives from Grupo Puntacana, authorities from the Dominican aeronautical sector and executives from Arajet; which has been operating since October 27.

Víctor Pacheco, CEO and founder of Arajet, indicated that the airline continues to expand its destination network and connect this important tourist location with the American continent from Canada to the Southern Cone. In addition, he reported that this month is doubly special because Arajet has exceeded one million engers flown in 2024 (including transit engers), being the first time in history that a Dominican airline has reached this figure in a year.      

Punta Cana Airport has maintained its commitment to innovation, which has allowed it to be one of the best airports in Latin America, with constant growth, connecting with 75 cities in 34 countries through 58 airlines, mobilizing more than 9 million engers per year.   

They explained that Punta Cana Airport becomes Arajet's third destination in the Dominican Republic and they are flying to and from Bogotá, Cartagena and Medellín in Colombia; Cancún and Mexico City in Mexico; Quito and Guayaquil in Ecuador; Toronto and Montreal in Canada; Kingston, Jamaica; Lima, Peru; São Paulo, Brazil; Santiago de Chile and Buenos Aires in Argentina.

The airline will maintain flights from the Americas International Airport, as well as from Cibao International Airport, to continue offering a memorable experience with the highest international quality standards.  

Arajet is currently the Dominican airline that has ed the highest enger movement, suring the 100 enger barrier for several consecutive months, managing to maintain first place among local airlines in the Dominican Republic.
