According to information from Brasil de Fato portal, employees who lost their jobs due to the act on October 3rd will also have to give a statement to the Federal Police (PF).

The strike by employees questions the ban on the use of cell phones in the cargo terminal and in restricted areas in the airport's enger terminals. Some of the employees who were at the protests claimed that the absence of cell phones could make it difficult to provide services within the airport, as well as communicate with family in the event of an emergency.

The ban was imposed tly by GRU Airport and the Federal Revenue Service due to the great repercussion of the case in which two Brazilian women were arrested in after changing the labels on their luggage by outsourced employees for the illegal transport of drugs.
