The Fundação Astronauta Marcos Pontes (AstroPontes) promotes this weekend, on the 10th and 11th of June, the traditional Arraiá Aéreo – Inspiring Generations, which this year, reaches its 8th edition, at the Municipal Airfield Comandante João Ribeiro de Barros (SBBU ), the Aero Club.
The event, which is one of the largest in Brazil, will feature air shows, exhibitions with various activities related to aviation, education, science and technology, the presence of Astronaut Marcos Pontes himself and the Festa Junina, with traditional stalls selling typical foods. , games and cultural artistic attractions. At each edition, Arraiá Aéreo beats the public record, reaching more than 100 thousand people. Entrance to Arraiá Aéreo 2023 is voluntary, with the donation of 1 kg of non-perishable food, 1 kg of pet food or a donation of R$10,00. Around 45 philanthropic institutions will benefit from the donations collected. Last year alone, 47 tons of food were donated.
There will be 4 gates for public entrance:
– ORDINANCE 1 | Entrance through Araújo Leite (Aeroclube de Bauru secretary);
– ORDINANCE 2 | Entrance through Al. Octávio Pinheiro Brisola (Astronaut Monument);
– ORDINANCE 3 | Entrance through Al. Octávio Pinheiro Brisola, block 25 (gate NAV Brasil/ INFRAERO);
– ORDINANCE 4 | Entrance through Al. Octávio Pinheiro Brisola (official vehicle parking for the event).
The official event parking lot can be accessed through the NAV Brasil gate, on Av. Octávio Pinheiro Brisola, next to entrance 3.
Other aerial attractions
There will be almost 15 hours of attractions with flight demonstrations, presentations with acrobatics in the sky, model airplanes and aircraft exhibitions. Confirmed are the Pelicano helicopters of the Civil Police, Eagle of the Military Police of the State of São Paulo and Pantera of the Brazilian Army, the amphibious aircraft group Petrel (Esquadrilha Pato), the historic aircraft PT-19 and T-6 Texan, Esquadrilha Céu , Decathlon aircraft, Acro Sport 2 from the Associação Brasileira de Acrobacia Aérea, simulation of forest fire fighting with the Air Tractor agricultural aircraft, RV-8 aerobatic aircraft, F-5 Tiger fighter aircraft and the C-105 Amazonas transport plane , both from the Brazilian Air Force (FAB), model airplanes, dozens of visiting aircraft and gliders from the Aeroclube de Bauru, captive balloon, among other attractions.
