During a workshop promoted by ANAC, with from ABEAR and Visite São Paulo, ABEAR's Director of Safety and Flight Operations, Raul de Souza, reaffirmed the association's commitment to best operational safety practices.
The event was attended by employees from GOL, LATAM, VOE, Azul, as well as representatives from ANAC, DECEA and airport concessionaires Fraport, Vinci and Zurich.
“Bringing and leveling knowledge among airlines is of utmost importance to ANAC, DECEA and also to smaller airports that operate in regional aviation. It was a great first to bring together all stakeholders to facilitate operations and meet the safety requirements necessary for regular air enger transport.” said the director of ABEAR at the opening of the Workshop Best Practices in Operational Safety.
According to Giovano Palma, ANAC's Airport Infrastructure Superintendent, this type of meeting is essential to increase proximity between the various agents in the aviation sector.
Also participating in the workshop were GOL's Airport Planning and Infrastructure Manager, Matheus Motta; LATAM's Senior Operational Safety Coordinator, Marcelo Marcusso; Boa Vista Airport (Vinci) Manager, Rovaldo Veloso; Zurich's Acting Operations Director, Anderson Pinheiro; Zurich's Operational Safety Coordinator, Mario Sousa; and Fraport's Emergency and Security Director, Carlos Schmid, among other representatives from the sector.
According to Air Brigadier André Gustavo Fernandes Peçanha, head of the DECEA Operations Subdepartment, ABEAR is a key player in the coordination between ANAC and DECEA. “ABEAR’s participation is essential for us to have a more united aeronautical community, increasingly improving air safety in the country”, he said.
