From today until Friday, Atech, a Brazilian company of the Embraer Group, will participate in the Police Operations Congress, COP Internacional 2024. During the event, the public will have the opportunity to learn in detail about the solutions of the Arkhe Integrated Systems family, which include command and control systems, intelligence, data analysis, incident management, drone detection and blocking, and cybersecurity.

At stand A57, in addition to explanations provided by the company's team of experts, there are product demonstrations, providing visitors with an immersion and understanding of how these integrated technologies work.

One of the products that will be on display is GDI (Incident Management), a platform that employs advanced command and control capabilities, providing a broad view of the operational theater in real time.

The command and control system has capabilities and resources that enable a quick and effective response to an incident, whether of natural origin such as meteorological events, for example; or of human nature, such as equipment failures or criminal actions.

In public safety, GDI can be used in different types of operations. In an action in a confined environment – known as Close Quarter Battle – CQB –, which usually occurs in places such as buildings, alleys and trains, with or without crowds of people, and which have some characteristics such as shock action, aggressiveness, situational awareness and use of lethal or non-lethal force, agents need to make quick and assertive decisions regarding the identification of targets and possible threats.

Since GDI uses IoT (Internet of Things), georeferencing (GIS) and computing environment technologies, in addition to applications for data collection — Mobile App, Drone App and Video App — the platform assists agents in all stages of the action, from planning to execution. In an integrated manner, it is possible to track, share the collected image data and view, in real time, everything that happens in the environment in an organized and contextualized manner in fixed or mobile command centers. With a high degree of situational awareness, decisions and actions are taken safely, contributing to risk mitigation.

Another example of GDI application is in a supposed terrorist action. In an operation of this type, it is essential that all security units are integrated. With the platform, it is possible to guarantee this integration and the interoperability of technological resources and materials, enabling the execution of a t operation with broad situational awareness, achieving the main objective of dismantling the act.

“GDI is essential and can be used in any operation that requires real-time planning and monitoring. With the range of integrated technologies, public safety actions become more effective, ensuring the protection of agents and the general population,” highlights Claudio Trapaga F. Nascimento Filho, Commercial Manager at Atech.
