Avianca Brasil has already started selling flights to Santiago, Chile, departing from Guarulhos International Airport, in the metropolitan region of São Paulo. Sales for the two daily flights started today (28/06), but the flights will only be carried out from the 7th of August.
The first flight (O68518) will be operated by the company departing from São Paulo every morning at 09:05 am, landing in the Chilean capital at 12:20 pm. The second flight (O68524) to Santiago departs from Guarulhos at 20:10 pm, landing in Chile at 23:25 pm.
On the way back to Avianca, it takes off at 00:55 from Merino Benitez Airport (SCL), taking flight O68525 and landing in Guarulhos at 05:55. The second flight (O68519) takes off from the Chilean capital at 13:50 pm, landing in Guarulhos at 18:40 pm.
The first daily flight departing from Guarulhos will be operated with the company's Airbus A330-200, which is equipped with 32 seats in Business Class and 206 in Economy Class. The second daily flight departing from São Paulo will be operated by the Airbus A320, comfortably equipped with 162 seats in Economy, as well as the first mentioned flight departing from Santiago. The flight that takes off at 13:50 pm from Chile is made with the A330.
In May, the company announced that it received its second A330 in the fleet, with a enger configuration, at the time the president of the company stated that it would also serve Santiago, in addition to flights to Miami. This is the company's second international destination operated regularly, last friday Avianca Brasil started its daily flights to Miami. Also using the Airbus A330-200, with a capacity for 238 engers.
A third of the company's A330 is to make up Avianca's fleet, but it has not yet decided which future destination it will serve, but has already mentioned 5 cities in Latin America and the USA. The company's president, Frederico Pedreira, also mentioned that he plans to carry out operations such as Fortaleza – Bogotá, but departing from Salvador, Avianca Brasil currently has a weekly flight on that route.
