The German Air Force (Luftwaffe) made one of its freighters Airbus A400M vaccination post against Covid-19. The campaign took place on Saturday (29) at Kassel Airport, in the state of Hesse, in central .
In addition to vaccination, those immunized from the age of 5 got to know the details of the A400 up close and were even able to taste sausages and drink, items offered by Airbus Defense, the plane's manufacturer.
The campaign, carried out by the Luftwaffe in partnership with the of Kassel, military reservists and a Christian association, was reinforced on social networks with the tag #ImpfAIRbus.

“I am very happy to be able to present one of our A400M to the aviation enthusiast public in Hesse during this great campaign and I wish everyone involved every success. Every vaccination counts and we, as part of society, are happy to make our contribution here.”, says Lieutenant General Ingo Gerhartz, an inspector for the Air Force.
According to the Luftwaffe, the immunization of children between 5 and 11 years old was carried out on site by pediatricians. Visitors were also asked to wear “weatherproof clothing” and PFF2 masks, always maintaining a minimum distance of 1,5 meters.
For the campaign, the Air force employed the A400M of registration 54+12 belonging to the 62 Air Transport Squadron (LTG 62). The aircraft landed in Kassel around 10:00 am and was parked in the courtyard next to the control tower. The campaign lasted until 18:00 pm and visitors had to in advance on the squadron's website.
