It was announced this Friday, November 4th, by the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC), the domestic airline tickets dashboard (click on the link to access) indicates that the air ticket in August was sold at an average price of R$ 687,82.
This average price corresponds to a real increase of 34,7% compared to the same month in 2019, before the covid-19 pandemic, when the average tariff was BRL 510,67. The price of aviation kerosene (QAV), between July/2019 and July/2022, increased by about 169%, although since the end of August this item has been showing a decrease in the prices published by the ANP.
The domestic air fares shows that 21% of tickets sold in August cost up to R$ 300,00; around 45% were sold below R$500,00; and 7,6% cost more than R$1.500,00.
The five main domestic destinations in August (SP, RJ, MG, PR and DF) represented around 53% of the total sold, with São Paulo alone representing 24,8% of this total (average tariff of R$ 645,62), becoming the most popular domestic destination in August, followed by Rio de Janeiro, with 9,5% (average fare of R$ 681,92), and Minas Gerais, with 6,7% (average fare of R$ 596,30, XNUMX).
The average amount paid by the enger per kilometer flown, also known as yield, rose 24,5% in August this year (BRL 0,5483) compared to the result obtained in 2019 (BRL 0,4405). In this item, Acre presented the lowest value of yield, of BRL 0,3481. On the other hand, Minas Gerais was the Federation Unit with the highest value per kilometer flown, R$ 0,7031.
In the eighth month of the year, the availability of flights in domestic air transport, measured by available seat kilometers (ASK), ed a reduction of 0,1% compared to data computed in the same period of 2019.
Although the indicator is important for the formation of air fare prices, it should be noted that other factors are equally considered, such as demand, seasonality, QAV cost, exchange variation and other macroeconomic indicators.
