Azul, the largest airline in Brazil in of number of cities served and daily flights, and ITA Airways, one of the main aviation companies in Italy, announced today (06) a codeshare agreement.
With the partnership, customers of the Italian company will have at their disposal the best options for connections with the main Brazilian cities. The agreement, which will be valid for flights from June 10th, will go on sale this Monday (6th) on all ITA Airways official channels.
Under the agreement, ITA Airways will place its “AZ” code on domestic flights operated by BLUE in eight strategic markets: Belém (PA), Cuiabá (MT), Santos Dumont (RJ), Porto Alegre (RS), Recife (PE), Juazeiro do Norte (CE), Belo Horizonte (MG) and Curitiba (PR), which will have a connection with five weekly flights in June and July by ITA Airways, and a daily flight starting in August, departing from Rome to São Paulo.
At this time, there will be no insertion of ITA Airways flights on Azul channels.

In addition to access to mesh connectivity, the main benefit of customers using codeshare will be the ease of carrying out a single check-in and dispatching their luggage from the origin to the final destination.
