Yesterday an interline agreement was announced between the Brazilian airline Azul Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras and Jetblue, which operates in the USA, the interline agreement will offer over 190 destinations to the United States via shared flights served by the two companies. Tickets to the new destinations are now available on the Jetblue and Azul websites, and reinforcing again, now you only need one ticket to travel the entire route.
Initially Azul will share 100 destinations to Brazilian cities with Jetblue and Jetblue will offer 90 destinations to American cities and Latin America. According to the founder of Azul and Jetblue, David Neeleman, “The agreement between Azul and JetBlue further expands the possibilities of flights and destinations for our Customers in Brazil and the United States. The two companies have significant airline networks and are recognized for their excellence in customer service.”
Both companies have a well-located Hub in their home country, JetBlue has a Hub at Fort Lauderdale/Miami and John F. Kennedy/NY airports and Azul has a Hub in Viracopos/SP and Confins/MG. Shared flights will take place at the Fort Lauderdale airport, where Azul operates international flights from Viracopos to the airport.
