To expand its connectivity in the southern region of Brazil, Azul announces two new routes connecting the cities of Porto Alegre to Navegantes and Curitiba to Florianópolis. The inclusion of these flights is part of the company's proposal to contribute to the integration between Brazilian states with great tourist and economic potential.
Flights to Navegantes (SC), from Salgado Filho Airport, in Porto Alegre (RS), begin on October 29th and will be operated with ATR 72-600 aircraft, with capacity for 70 Customers. On the same day, the connection departs from Afonso Pena International Airport, in Curitiba (PR), to Florianópolis (SC), carried out in an Embraer E1, with capacity for 118 Customers. The flights will be available for sale from the 2nd of August on the BLUE.
The cities in the south of Brazil are known for their contrasts, with beautiful beaches and hot summer days, but also for the stunning mountain region, with very cold weather.
Customers who travel to Navegantes (SC) will get to know a city that is privileged by nature. The destination has four beaches, Gravatá, Meia Praia, Centro and Praia do Pontal, which total 12 kilometers of seafront and light sand dunes covered by preserved native vegetation.
The island of Florianópolis is mainly known for its beautiful beaches, but it has also become a reference in technology, accumulating more than 4 thousand companies in the area. In addition, the city was considered the second Brazilian capital with the largest area of preserved Atlantic Forest, according to the criteria of Fundação SOS Mata Atlântica. According to the survey, the biome occupies 26% of the municipality's territory.
