This Thursday afternoon (30/05) Azul Linhas Aéreas launched a campaign on social networks entitled #AzulNaPonteAerea, where the company calls on the public to the company in obtaining operating slots on the Ponte Aérea, between Rio de Janeiro ( SDU-RJ) and Congonhas (CGH-SP).

Recently, Azul Linhas Aéreas tried to enter this market by making proposals for the purchase of Avianca Brasil slots on the Ponte Aérea, a good part of its strategy failed after the approval of the judicial recovery plan, where GOL, LATAM and Elliott ed an auction of the assets in 7 UPIs, dividing Avianca into seven parts.

A new proposal by Azul, where it would pay US$ 145 million just for the slots on the Ponte Aérea, was rejected by Avianca Brasil, and also by the judge in charge of the company's judicial recovery. Days after the company's refusal, the company had its operations suspended.

So far it is not possible to know how and when Azul will enter the airlift, an imminent bankruptcy of Avianca Brasil could release the slots for auction by ANAC (National Civil Aviation Agency).

The ANAC auction would make life easier for Azul, as CADE recently recommended that ANAC distribute these slots to Azul and Air Europa.
