Azul released an internal communication for crew reporting the reduction in the number of flights and the transfer of 20 aircraft to other companies. The measures will be taken to overcome the crisis that the country is currently facing, which has reduced the demand for air travel, in addition to the increase in costs due to the dollar exchange rate.
Crew who choose to will have 4 unpaid leave options, which are subject to approval depending on the availability of vacancies and seniority in the company. The measure extends to pilots, flight attendants and airlines. Employees can count on medical assistance, already offered by Azul, for a maximum period of 12 months.
Lately, Azul has transferred aircraft to TAP Portugal, which includes 9 Embraer Ejet aircraft that currently make up Azul's fleet, 8 ATR 72 and two A330-200 aircraft. The 20th aircraft that will be transferred has not yet been confirmed.
During the period of validity of all licenses, Azul will not be able to contract directly, with priority being given to those already on the waiting list, according to the validity of each one.
