Two USAF B-2A Spirit bombers belonging to the 509th Bomb Wing at Whiteman AFB, who are on a Task Force mission in the United Kingdom, flew a mission in conjunction with USAF F-15C fighters over the Arctic. The aircraft were ed by an American KC-135 tanker.
During the mission, the planes were intercepted by three Royal Norwegian Air Force F-35A stealth fighters. The interception, which actually was also part of the training, strengthened the bond between the nations, in addition to, of course, providing great photographs.

This time the aircraft did not stop over in Iceland like last year, but in Azores, Portugal, where there is a strategic base that provides fuel and maintenance for aircraft.
The aircraft are based at the key RAF air base at Fairford. Other North American aircraft have already ed through this base, such as the classic B-52H, the U-2 spy planes.
The RIAT is also held annually at this base, an important military aeronautical event that brings together aircraft from the main air forces of western and eastern Europe, and of course the massive presence of the USAF.
