B-52 that was in the airplane graveyard is back in service with the USAF

The Wise Guy was in the “Aircraft Graveyard”, as the 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group (AMARG) is popularly known, since 2008.

The crash of another B-52H in 2016 created a chain of events that finally brought the plane registration 60-034 back into active service. This is the second B-52 to be resurrected. The first was the B-52H Ghost Rider, registration 61-007, refurbished in 2015.
