The Official Gazette of the State publishes in its edition this Friday (18) an amendment to the cooperation term 002/2019, signed between the State Tourism Secretariat and Gol Linhas Aéreas, which establishes the reduction of the calculation base in the acquisition of aviation kerosene by the company, with a tax burden equivalent to 5%.
The agreement extends the term by 12 months, with retroactive effect from January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2021.
On the other hand, Gol undertakes to carry out 20.449 flights, between arrivals and departures, in the State, totaling interconnections with 27 destinations.
There are five municipalities in Bahia served by the airline: Salvador, Porto Seguro, Ilhéus, Vitória da Conquista and Barreiras. A similar agreement had been previously signed with Azul.
The measure is part of the strategies of the State Secretariat of Tourism to expand the state's air network in the resumption of the pandemic.
“Increasing the offer of flights to destinations in Bahia is one of our priorities, which is why we negotiate with companies and offer benefits like this one, so that tourists who visit us have more and more options”, says the state secretary of Tourism, Maurício Bacelar.
Resume
The recovery of air traffic in Bahia, reduced by the pandemic, gains momentum in June and July to meet tourist demand during the holiday season.
Several frequencies operated by large companies are being reactivated, both for Salvador and for cities in the interior.
New routes are being inaugurated to destinations such as Mucugê, in Chapada Diamantina, and Ilha de Comandatuba, in the municipality of Una (south of the State).
On the 30th, the company ITA, from the Itapemirim Group, starts operating, including a flight that connects the airport of Guarulhos (SP) to Salvador, with a stopover in Porto Seguro. As for the 20th of July, the return of Air Europa flights from Madrid to the Bahian capital is scheduled.
