The winter season in Bariloche this year has generated good results for tourism in Argentina. According the data of the Province of Rio Negro, at the end of July, the city recorded 95% hotel occupancy, which placed it among the tourist centers with the highest numbers in the country.
According to the agency, Bariloche also stood out as the most requested air destination in Argentina, with an average of 30 daily flights arriving at Teniente Luis Candelaria International Airport. The movement in the region is 15% higher than that recorded in 2019.
The snow attractions, the chocolates and the different walks to contemplate unique views are the options that star in the winter season in Bariloche. Until September 19th, Bariloche will continue with daily flights departing from São Paulo, operated by Aerolíneas Argentinas. After that, the Company will have weekly flights connecting Brazil to the Argentine destination.

Cerro Catedral is the main ski center in South America and one of the main tourist attractions in Bariloche. On the mountain, it is possible to enjoy 32 slopes for skiing, both for professionals and beginners; snowmobile tours, racket crossings, sled rides and various activities at the base, such as slides on culipatins and the magic carpets.
For those who enjoy lake activities, Bariloche offers several excursions that depart from Puerto Pañuelo, on the Llao Llao peninsula. There you can visit Isla Victoria, Bosque de Arrayanes, Puerto Blest, Cascada de los Cántaros and the Andean Cross.
Circuito Chico is another important destination in the city, where you can enjoy various activities and beautiful landscapes, as well as trekking routes for the whole family, such as Cerrito Llao Llao, Villa Tacul, López Bay and Lago Escondido.
For those looking for challenging tours, there is Travessia de los Cuatro Refugios, an experience that combines the most popular mountain lodges in the region, and the trail to Cerro Tronador, the highest peak in the Nahuel Huapi National Park.
According to the Secretary of Tourism of Bariloche, Gastón Burlon, the numbers recorded are the result of the large movement of tourists from the main outbound destinations in the country and abroad, especially from Brazil.
“The efforts we made to work with airlines and facilitate access for Brazilian tourists to Bariloche was essential for us to obtain good data and provide a wonderful winter season for all visitors”, emphasizes Burlon.
