Belém Airport holds exhibition to celebrate World Photography Day

In honor of World Photography Day, celebrated next Monday (19/8), the International Airport of Belém/Val-de-Cans (PA) promotes a photographic exhibition with images that portray the daily life of the terminal in Pará. The exhibition will be inaugurated on the same day that the date is celebrated internationally. The aim is to show viewers the other side of an airport, usually seen from afar by engers.

The exhibition features 42 canvases, captured by the curious eyes of 30 amateur and professional photographers who participated in the last Spotter Day, held in Val-de-Cans in June. 

They recorded aircraft movements, between landings, takeoffs and taxis, as well as other images involving airport routine. engers and airport s will be able to check out the collection in the Domestic Arrivals Hall until September 9th.  

Belém International Airport has the capacity to receive up to 7,7 million engers per year, and in the first half of 2019, it handled almost 1,7 million travelers – which generated a 3,7% increase in flow compared to to the same period of 2018, when 1,63 million engers were ed for.

The airport receives a daily average of 100 regular commercial flights, distributed among six airlines – Azul, Gol, Latam, MAP, Surinam and TAP. The routes connect the capital of Pará to several Brazilian destinations – Guarulhos and Campinas (SP); Recife PE); Brasilia DF); Macapá (AP); Altamira, Marabá and Santarém (PA); Rio de Janeiro - RJ); Confines (MG); Manaus (AM); Fortaleza (EC); São Luís (MA); Cuiabá (MT). International flights connect Belém to Europe, the United States, Suriname and French Guiana.
