Christmas present: Azul is getting three new ATR 72 planes at once

So it's Christmas, the festive season, and Azul has good reasons to be able to celebrate too. The company is currently receiving three new ATR 72 all at once straight from the ATR factory in Toulouse, .

The three new of Azul's fleet are ATR 72-600 models with a capacity for 70 engers, the new planes will receive registrations: PR-AKM, PR-AKN and PR-AKO. With the arrival of aircraft, Azul will now have 36 aircraft of this type in its fleet.

The latter will be the first turboprop of the company based in Campinas to fly with the Brazilian flag painted on its fuselage. The aircraft departed together from Toulouse around 11:30 am (local time) bound for Las Palmas, with an estimated arrival time of 15:00 pm.

In Las Palmas, the crew will spend the night and travel tomorrow (25) to Dakar, Senegal. From the stopover made in the capital of Senegal, the three new aircraft will travel to Natal, expected to arrive on Sunday (26).

The final destination of these aircraft is Confins International Airport in Belo Horizonte, where they must go through all the bureaucratic procedures and be nationalized.
