For the Embraer recovery task, Azul used a recovery kit (recovery kit) specific for airplanes, aided by a trailer and inflatable mattresses to facilitate the removal of the Embraer without major damage.
In view of the great repercussion, it is worth ing that operations on airport runways are susceptible to this type of incident, however, they have safe escape areas in order to minimize further damage to the planes, as well as training for pilots to act in this kind of situation.
After removing the aircraft, Azul's maintenance team will carry out an in-depth assessment to determine whether there has been damage to the structure and engines, a process that could take weeks or even months for the plane to return to safe operation. The incident is being investigated by CENIPA.
