This last Tuesday (09/03) the TUI received one more Boeing 737 MAX for its fleet. The company took advantage of this moment to carry out an incredible mission, flying for more than 7700 km non-stop.
The plane registration G-TUMK initially took off from Seattle, at Boeing Field, and followed by a non-stop flight to Gatwick Airport, in London. The route had a total duration of 9 hours and 14 minutes of flight, flying over Canada, Greenland and the Atlantic.
Traditionally, the Boeing 737 MAX has an autonomy to fly 6500 km nonstop. This special capacity allowed GOL to start nonstop flights from Brazil to Miami and Orlando, in the US.
However, being on a delivery flight and without engers (thus without weight), the plane's range is extended. This justifies the ability of the Boeing 737 MAX to fly 7700 km between cities.
The company named its new plane after "ibiza". The internal configuration is focused on short-haul flights, with 189 seats in economy class.
