Canada is in the midst of choosing a new air defense vector for the RCAF, the Future Fighter Capability Project (FF) project, which is targeting the choice of 88 new fighters.

The American company remains confident in its long-standing partnership with Canadians in the military field.

However, it is not just Boeing that is in the mix, other companies are also in the running to supply the 88 new fighters to Canada.

Completing the list is another US company, Lockheed Martin, which is proposing the stealth F-35A.

However, Canada has yet to make a final decision and this may not be completed until 2032.

Until the fleet of 88 fighters replaces the current fleet of CF-18 Hornet fighters, Canada is looking to understand the lifespan of its current fleet.

With that in mind, Canada is purchasing 18 used F-18 fighters from Australia, in addition to the fighters, spare parts are also being purchased.
